I am the go to person whenever a family member or friend is looking for something. They say, “ask Barbara, if it is made she probably has it”. When I saw an ad in an AARP magazine to rent your stuff I was discussing this with a friend and she said I should rent my many, many vintage items for weddings and photo shoots.
Because of my extensive vintage/antique collection everyone says this business is right up my alley. I have been a lover of vintage and antique items since I was a little girl in New Jersey living in our home built in 1904. The name Dusty Lilacs comes from the lilacs that my Mom set on the table in our dining room which were harvested from the large bush in our backyard. As the soft summer breezes blew the sheer curtains the lovely lilac fragrance enveloped our entire home.
My Mom, who passed away in 2005, was always my mentor and I miss her terribly. We ran a business selling fabrics, laces, trims and related items primarily at doll shows for over 10 years. Our buying trips were such fun as we purchased many unique items, went to estate and yard sales as well as auctions and flea markets. I spent my life sewing, collecting, crafting, traveling and taking pictures. I have a love of design, am creative, energetic, resourceful and enjoy the hunt for treasures as you never know what unique piece you will find. I have gone to, organized, planned weddings and parties for years so now it is time to use my vintage pieces to create the special ambiance you want for your event.
At Dusty Lilacs Vintage Rentals we love weddings, romantic encounters, parties, engagements, teas, showers, photo shoots, etc. Carrying an inventory of many unique vintage items is our specialty and we will help to create or compliment the mood of your event with our special pieces. Whether you are an event planner, photographer, bride, wedding coordinator or just a person wanting to rent some special vintage items we can help your event to be a success. Reserve that special piece early to be sure it is available when you need it.
In addition to providing vintage pieces to make your special event a success we also offer various hand crafted pieces such as ring pillows, garters, frames and jewelry items. If you have talented energetic people to help style and finalize your event you can choose and pick up your items at our warehouse. However, if you need assistance in designing or setting up that special day we can help make it a success. All in all we want your event to be a stress free affair so if you need help just ask us about our special styling services.

Consultations are free, but if they require visiting a venue or more involved planning additional fees may apply.
